Measurement Technics
The advantage of airborne gamma spectrometry measurements lies in the high speed of the aircraft. So a large area can be covered in short time (about 70 square kilometers in 2 hours). Airborne gamma spectrometry is also very useful in inaccessible areas.
The area is covered by a uniform raster of flight lines with a spacing of 100 to 500 m, depending to the measurement task. The flight altitiude above ground is hold constant at 90 m.
